South America

South America is certainly somewhere you would want to visit. The geography includes many mountains, beaches, rain forests, and amazing ancient ruins. African and Latin cultures combined together. There is a lot of Modern art throughout the cities. It takes your entire life to take this entire continent in. South America is South of North America. South America has a population of 387,489,196 people as of 2011. The area of the continent is 6,890,000 sq mi. US$8,929 as of 2010. The majority of languages spoken is Spanish, and Portuguese.

If you visit Brazil, you should go to the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon makes up more than half of the worlds rainforest. The Amazon is part of French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia as well, Brazil has the Largest amount of the forest. The Forest contains 1100 of other rivers going through it but the most popular is the Amazon River, which is where the forest got its name.


If you love biology, and find yourself in Ecuador, you'll be interested in stopping by the Galapagos Islands. It's a chain of volcanic islands around the equator. It's west of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. It's really pricey to go but its worth. Made Famous by Charles Darwin, this is a place to find some of the most unusual animals known. There is a maximum amount of people allowed on the island at one time, because everything is so fragile. If you can come up with enough money this is a great place to visit.
